Grok Bot prompts & plugins for GitHub

GitHub is where a Grok Bot can prove its work. It can read issues, inspect commits, draft PR notes, update status pages, or connect a merge to a docs change. Grok Ship makes GitHub central to the software-factory pattern, and smaller workflows show commits turning into issues or PRs triggering Intercom updates. This hub is for repo-connected setups with a visible trail. The best entries show the branch, issue, commit, check, or pull request that caused the Bot to act. If the Bot changes code, review should stay human.

The bot that audits the bots you already built

Debbie O’Brien’s CoS tweet is the prompt: look at me, look at the bots I already created, tell me what to change, how to manage the team, and what else would make me productive. The screenshot is the answer she got back.

Get interrogated until your plan is actually specific

Nate Herk’s week-of-lessons article starts with a job he actually runs: a Grill Me skill that relentlessly interviews him about the business, goals, and plans until the bots share context. He uses it before quarterly planning or a new project — not a four-bot staffing listicle.

A daily declutter capped at ten items you approve

Peter Yang’s five-bot tutorial includes a digital Marie Kondo that audits Gmail, Google Drive, and paid subscriptions, then proposes a cleanup plan. It only unsubscribes, deletes, renames, or cancels after he approves each action. Same tweet as the advisor / YouTube / X-scout crew.

It noticed who I was ignoring and booked the call

Jesse’s Chief of Staff reads Gmail, Calendar, Slack/Discord, and sends a 5am summary with fires. Unlike his old script, he can ask it to do something after: it noticed he was ignoring Nate Berkopec, opened SavvyCal, and found a time in both timezones.

Reply by text, and it works the helpdesk for you

Jesse Hanley’s thread is not a one-liner dump: he already runs a support bot against Bento Chat / helpdesk. It sweeps a few times a day, summarises what is assigned or escalated, and he texts back what to do — then it hits the admin MCP. “This is what I’ve done and it’s fantastic.”

A voice note becomes a live LinkedIn post

Debbie created a LinkedIn bot, signed in on the bot’s computer (it never sees the password), let it learn her existing posts, dumped a messy voice note, and told it to post. It posted. Receipt, not a draft-only demo.

It read the tests, found the bug gone, and closed it

Debbie spun up a coding bot on debs-obrien/playwright-movies-app. It checked issue 29, found the tests already used waitForURL with no hard waits, asked if it should close, then closed it with a note after GitHub was connected — she clicked through to GitHub to confirm.

One ticket, a root-caused PR, and a reply by morning

Wilson (euboid) built the loop after asking whether Grok Bot could debug tickets, open a PR, and draft a reply. Incoming ticket → agent reads Fern docs, codebase, Axiom logs → bug gets RCA + PR + Linear, feature request hits the board, customer reply is drafted in his voice.
